VISITING SCHOLAR SYMPOSIUM WEEKEND
MAY 1–3
MSI’s capstone event is here! Join us May 1–3 in Ohio or virtually from anywhere. IN PERSON. LIVE ONLINE. ON DEMAND. The complete schedule is below. The material from the LIVE sessions will be available in the Course Curriculum at the convenience of registrants.
The concept of wisdom dots the landscape of the Scriptures, evident throughout the whole Hebrew Bible and springing up in the New Covenant Writings. After surveying wisdom’s boundaries and cultural background, this symposium explores the diverse contexts in which wisdom is found in the Hebrew Bible: from the Torah, to the Prophets, to the famous wisdom books of the Writings (Prov, Eccl, and Job). This rich Hebrew Bible journey brings us to the point when true wisdom takes on a body and walks around among us in the person of Yeshua the Messiah. Join us as we traverse this wisdom territory! Our expedition will highlight the combination of careful nuance and faithful imagination needed in order to discern wisdom’s contours in the Scriptures—abilities of discernment one might even associate with cultivating wisdom itself.
If you can't join us in person, we invite you to register for the virtual event.
