Course Description:

It’s absolutely critical for Gentile followers of Jesus (Yeshua) to understand Romans 9–11. In recent years it has been rightly described as the centerpiece or summit of Romans. Understanding this passage will actually make you more useful in God’s 21st century history! Paul’s overarching purposes in this passage of Scripture are to:

1. Express his deep mental anguish over the situation with Israel

2. Explain the privileged and preeminent status of the Jewish people in God’s history

3. Explain how God and His word remain faithful despite any rejection of the Good News

4. Inoculate Gentiles from arrogance over and against the Jewish people

5. Ensure Gentiles are aware of the hardening in a part of Israel and understand remnant theology

6. Ensure Gentiles are part of God's zealousy (jealousy) plan for the Jewish people

7. Ensure everyone knows that God is always sovereign and righteous (no matter how mysterious or surprising) and is able to declare: “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and inscrutable His ways! (Rom 11:33)

The time for mastering Romans 9–11 has come!
