Book of Job: For Gritty God-Fearing Whatever Comes is a LIVE ONLINE 2025 SIX-WEEK Course held virtually on Zoom on Five Mondays: Apr 21, Apr 28, May 5, May 12, May 19, and One Tuesday May 27 from 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. EST. Once you register for this course, log into your MSI account, choose this course in 'My Courses', and you will find the Zoom link in the Course Curriculum along with all the course materials as they are shared.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Get ready to deepen your engagement with the book of Job in the Tanakh! Come enjoy an exciting exploration of the textual, literary, and theological dimensions of Job, as we consider its importance for the lived faith of the individual and community of God. After an orientation to the book of Job, we will take a wondrous journey through its major literary sections, discussing their interpretive challenges and how readers enter into dialogue with the text. This journey through Job will conclude with reflections on how the book fits within the whole of the Scriptures—and especially prepares us for God’s climactic ‘answer’ in Yeshua the Messiah.

Ellie Weiner is a PhD candidate at Cambridge University specializing in the Tanakh (OT) with a particular focus on the Book of Job. Her academic journey began at Gordon College, followed by a double MA at Gordon-Conwell in Tanakh (OT) and Biblical languages. Known for her impressive feat of memorizing the entire Book of Job in Hebrew, Ellie is keen on exploring the theological and linguistic intricacies of this complex text. Her work is characterized by a joyful engagement with Scripture, challenging the stereotypical perceptions of Biblical academia.
