Course Description:

Talk about a hard life! The Book of Hebrews was written to a group of Messianic Jews who had endured a hard struggle with sufferings when they first were enlightened about the fact that Yeshua was the Messiah. Some of them were made a public spectacle through insults and distressing hardships such as imprisonment and the loss of their property. Others suffered by helping those who were thrown into prison and had their own property seized as a result. They accepted this loss with joy, knowing that they had a better and lasting possession. The Book of Hebrews provided a much needed word of exhortation not to throw away their confidence, which would be vindicated and rewarded in the future. See Hebrews 10:32–35. For now they had to learn to face the hardships of Messianic life through a sports metaphor: running the race set before them with endurance while keeping their eyes fixed on Yeshua! See Hebrews 12:1–2. Come discover the many lessons here for us!
