Ready, Set, Greek! is a LIVE ONLINE Session 1 (7:00–8:15pm) course held virtually on Zoom starting 10/05/2020.

Course Description:

Come see how easy it is to learn the Greek alphabet and pronunciation. This is the starting line for learning Biblical Greek and will make the Greek 1–6 series easier to master. We will begin by learning to recognize and pronounce all 24 letters of the Koine Greek alphabet including the vowels and diphthongs (vowel couplets). Our journey will continue with an introduction to the basic rules for pronunciation which will be reinforced in later courses. Our finish line for this course will be the pronunciation of a passage of Scripture which will provide the warm-up we need to continue to Greek 1. There we will begin to understand Greek grammar. Every Greek course at MSI is profoundly punctuated with mnemonic (memory) devices and humor to help lifelong learners overcome the misperception that "It's all Greek to me"! There are no textbooks or prerequisites for this course.
